Type U Hammer Drive Screws are designed for installation by a hammer or mallet as they are not designed to be removed once installed.
Hammer Drive Screws have no recess on the dome head of the screws, which allows for a tamper resistant, permanent fastening. They have a unique coarse thread with a large helical angle making them resistant to rotational loosening, plus an unthreaded pilot point. A pre-drilled pilot hole is required.
They are commonly used for fixing plate materials to metals and are ideally suited to unhardened materials such as mild steel, brass, copper, aluminium and plastics.
